If you thought Epic Games had already run out of ideas for Fortnite, think again. The new season, called Override, hasn't even launched yet and almost everything that matters got leaked because of some teaser packages they sent out to streamers. Anyway, the Battle Pass lineup leaked, and honestly, there is a lot of good stuff in there, but there is one detail most people haven't really noticed that is going to end up costing you. The main attraction this time around is Sonic, who is finally coming to the game as a featured Battle Pass skin. Alongside him comes a Tetris-inspired skin that seems super customizable, kind of like that Toona Fish skin from a few seasons back. Aside from that, Geno, who players have been begging for forever, finally makes an appearance, plus the usual original filler skins they always throw in, like a kart racer girl and a couple of futuristic-looking soldiers. There are eight skins total in the pass. The catch that a lot of people are overlooking is that almost all the other major gaming collabs everyone is talking about won't actually be in the pass. Persona 5's Joker, for example, is pretty much confirmed for the game, but he is nowhere to be found on the Battle Pass list. The same goes for Dr. Eggman, Shadow, Mega Man, and even Crash Bandicoot. If you were planning on grabbing all of them just by paying for the Battle Pass, you are out of luck because they are all going straight to the Item Shop and will need to be bought separately. The season itself drops on August 20, so until then, Epic will probably release a few more trailers and confirm the official names for all these characters. But at the end of the day, the takeaway here is to hold onto your V-Bucks starting now if you really care about getting those crossover characters.
