Demon Slayer S4 ep 8 quality was above anything seen so far, good season overall.

If you live under a rock, you may not know that S4's last episode was on June 30th. Well, it was, and I don't have words for the masterpiece presented to us. Season 4, at the beginning, divided fans as Season 4," Hashira's Training Arc," was meant to be filler until the grandiose final battle between all Hashira's and the last remaining Superior's Moons with MUZAN. The whole arc revolved around seeing training regiments, meaning hardly any fighting happened. I will give my opinion on each episode and then talk about what I thought of the whole season, as I was one of the only ones who did appreciate it more than the rest. **EP1 To Defeat Kibutsuji Muzan** The episode starts with a chase of a woman caught by a lower-rank demon. The chasers are Two Hashiras that you've seen the whole show, but they never showed their abilities. The Two Hashiras are: 1. OBANAI IGURO - Serpent Hashira ![v](https://i.imgur.com/gEXtONW.jpeg) 2. SANEMI SHINAZUGAWA - Wind Hashira ![v](https://i.imgur.com/A5zER8B.jpeg) They quickly decimated dozens of demons spectacularly, and just as they were about to catch the kidnapper, they came across INFINITY CASTLE and lost track of the perpetrator they were chasing. **Fun fact: That event did not happen in the Manga** **EP2 Water Hashira GIYU TOMIOKA'S Pain** This was everywhere you searched on the internet. You would see people saying things like," Another boring episode from this filler arc." It wasn't the best, but it wasn't that boring or bad, in my opinion. My favorite moment is when Giyu says to the other Hashira's that, and I quote," I am not like you guys," which SHINAZUGAWA didn't like at all. ![v](https://i.imgur.com/jrJjh1A.png) I thought it was cliche at first, as an anime trope is when someone says something like that, it means he believes that no one can stand against him. But when you see his story about how he "Became Hashira," you realize that what he said was that he didn't deserve to be a Hashira since he never passed the entry exam. That's just good storytelling, in my opinion. As you always thought by his demeanor, GIYU thought since season 1 that he was superior to everyone, but in reality, he always thought he was inferior to the Hashiras. **EP3 Fully Recovered Tanjiro Joins the Hashira Training!!** TANGIRO enters the UZUI training regiment and shows again why he's the main character, as he's the only one among the troops to hold on to a fight against a Hashira. This was a weak episode. The main plot is that UZUI seems severe toward the students, but he wants to help them grow as warriors, and TANJIRO motivates them to fight. By far the weakest episode so far. **EP4 To Bring a Smile to One's Face** It is similar to episode 3, but not as bad as witnessing a fight between 3 Hashiras and seeing that something or someone is watching them from the shadows. I also like the airplane contest at the end, with TOKITO representing an innocent activity before shit hits the fan, as war will come, and they know it. **EP5 I Even Ate Demons** This one involves three pieces of training in one episode—I mean four if getting a probation order against the Wind Hashira counts as training. The first one is a stretching regimen by KANJORI, the Love Hashira. The second is IGURO, with the most original and exciting method of training so far as TANJIRO required to hit him in narrow points covered by the troops as an obstacle and a little fight with the Wind Hashira as he was about to kill his little brother GENYA. The episode ends with the beginning of the training under the strongest Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps. **EP6 The Strongest of the Demon Slayer Corps This episode was unnecessary for me as it consisted of training under the wing of Stone Hashira HIMEJIMA GYOMEI. It could have been done in one episode, but it was prolonged to the next one. The training consisted of going under a waterfall while enduring the water pressure, lifting a big log, and pushing a giant boulder. That's it. It also shows MUZAN getting closer to finding the Demon Slayer Corps HQ, which takes just seconds. **EP7 Stone Hashira GYOMEI HIMEJIMA** This is a good episode as it dwells on the origins of GYOMEI HIMEJIMA and concludes the Training Regimen Arc for KAMADO TANJIRO. ![v](https://i.imgur.com/pzDfnvF.jpeg) NOW FOR THE LAST AND THE BANGER THAT TOOK THE WORLD BY SURPRISE WITH HIS BREATHTAKING VISUALS AND AWESOME CHOREOGRAPHY. **EP8 The Hashira Unite ** The masterpiece starts with MUZAN walking like MICHAEL JACKSON, heading towards Hashira's Master Father figure, OYAKATA. They talk and suddenly the whole HQ blows up in one of the most impressive explosions ever seen, the reason is that OYAKATA knew that MUZAN was coming and booby-trapped the entire temple. All the Hashiras realized what happened and went straight to the Master's side, but it was already too late; they tried to attack MUZAN, but he transported all of them plus ZENITSU, which was not the same goofball as he was before, INOSUKE, GENYA, A and more as they prepare for the showdown at the INFINITY CASTLE. ![v](https://i.imgur.com/TkSrpqg.jpeg) Overall, it was a lovely, balanced season, as now it will be the best fights with little dialogue. By the way, Season 5 will be separated into 3 Films; it was officially confirmed.
