The simplest way to do the Scorch Squad! is to go to the level"MIND GAMES" and cross the only door available, as it will bring you back to the beginning but with a more distorted version.  The second time that happens, you will have 8 grunts to dispose of. Jump to the previous platform and line them up. Even if you fail, jump down and try again as many times as necessary.
