Parries are essential in fighting games if you want to succeed, especially in a game as complex as Tekken 8. Of course, if you only want to play the game for just having fun then yeah you can just connect a string of attacks and be on your merry way. But for us who like to have fun while searching to get better, then yes learning how to parry is a must in your journey. As a main Reina, I use a lot of her unique parry to open my opponent for a combo. With Reina, you just need to tap forward at the moment your opponent tries to hit you with a 1 or 2( light attack 🔲 or heavy 🔺) as I illustrated in the video.
